1. DEPLOY YOUR ANCHOR
Secure your boat by anchoring if your motor fails. Give yourself time to think and reduce the risk of drifting into another vessel’s path, rocks or any dangerous situations. If in open waters, deploy a sea anchor (or a bucket attached to a rope) if you have one on board to minimize drift.
