We quite often get asked what parts do we use, and we understand. There are a lot of services available by others, often offering a more economical option. As the age-old saying goes, Caveat Emptor. We only use high quality parts in all of our services. We won’t use parts on your motor if we wouldn’t use it on our own.

To simply put it, we treat your motor like our own.

Where we use aftermarket parts & consumables:

  • Oils – We generally use Penrite for motor & gear oil. Oils used will either match or exceed the manufacturers specifications.
  • Spark Plugs – We use the correct specified plugs, which will either be NGK or Champion. Genuine plugs are made by NGK or Champion and packaged in a different box.
  • Anodes – We may use generic aftermarket anodes should the genuine anodes be out of stock or have a significant price difference. As important as they are in protecting your motor, anodes are designed to be sacrificed and thrown out. They are generally quite similar if not identical to the genuine counterpart. Mount Franklin vs Pump – Same difference.

Where we use genuine parts:

  • Repair of damaged parts
  • Thermostats
  • Impeller / Water Pump

Should you wish to use all genuine parts, just let us know.
